Last updated: November 2025
Overview
SynapHack, accessible at synaphack.in, is a digital platform that enables users, participants, organizers, and companies to discover and host hackathons, challenges, events, and opportunities. By accessing or using the platform, you agree to the practices described in this combined Privacy Policy and Terms of Use. If at any point you disagree with the policies mentioned here, you should discontinue using the platform immediately.
Information We Collect
SynapHack collects personal information such as your name, contact details, profile information, educational or professional details, and any content you choose to upload while participating in events. We also automatically collect certain technical details including your IP address, device information, browser version, session behavior, and activity logs to ensure a secure and optimized experience. When you sign in through external providers like Google or GitHub, we may receive limited information based on the permissions granted by those services. Any data collected is used to create your account, enable event participation, facilitate communication, display your submissions, personalize opportunities for you, and maintain platform security. Your information may also be used to send essential notifications, updates, event reminders, and service-related alerts.
Data Sharing & Third Parties
Your information may be shared with event organizers only when you register for their events, as they require participant details to manage participation, evaluation, communication, and distribution of rewards. Additionally, we may share limited data with trusted service providers that support our operations—such as hosting, analytics, email delivery, security monitoring, or payment processing. SynapHack does not sell personal data under any circumstances. Information is also shared if legally required by courts, government authorities, or applicable laws. Any information shared directly between you and an organizer outside our platform is your sole responsibility, and SynapHack is not liable for the handling of such data.
Cookies & Data Retention
SynapHack uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to improve navigation, manage login sessions, enhance performance, and personalize user experience. You may disable cookies through your browser settings, but doing so may cause certain features of the platform to stop functioning properly. All data collected is stored securely and retained only as long as necessary for operational, legal, or security reasons. You may request access, correction, or deletion of your account by contacting our support team.
Acceptable Use Policy
By using SynapHack, you agree to use the platform responsibly. You must not upload harmful, misleading, illegal, or plagiarized content, interfere with platform security, misuse other users' information, impersonate others, or engage in fraudulent or abusive activities. When participating in events, you agree to follow all rules set by organizers, ensure the originality of your submissions, and understand that event outcomes, judging decisions, and prize delivery are controlled solely by the organizers. SynapHack is a technology platform and is not responsible for prize delays, organizer mistakes, disputes, or communication issues between participants and organizers.
Intellectual Property
All content you submit—such as projects, documents, presentations, links, or media—remains your intellectual property. However, by uploading it to SynapHack, you grant the platform and event organizers a non-exclusive license to display, evaluate, share, or showcase it for event operations, results announcements, and promotional displays where relevant. SynapHack's own content—including design, code, branding, trademarks, and interface— remains our exclusive property and may not be copied or redistributed without permission.
Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability
The platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. While we take reasonable steps to ensure security and uptime, we do not guarantee uninterrupted service, error-free functionality, or the accuracy of all information published by organizers or users. SynapHack is not liable for data loss, service interruptions, unauthorized access, or any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of the platform. You agree to indemnify SynapHack against any claims resulting from misuse of the platform, violation of these terms, or infringement of others' rights.
Account Suspension & Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate our policies, pose security risks, or misuse platform features. You may request account deletion at any time through our support channel. This Policy is governed by the laws of India, and any disputes shall fall under the jurisdiction of the courts located in New Delhi.
